CME Credit Information

CME Credit for attending COH GCRA Case Conference Sessions, Self-Directed Review in Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment (SDR), and/or Topics in Cancer Genomics Research (TICGR) Presentations

You are able to log into the CME Website and access your credit transcripts at any time.

To earn CME credit for participating in our City of Hope CME-accredited activities, you must create an account in the City of Hope CME database. This account is separate from your CCGCoP portal account. If you have already registered in the City of Hope CME database, you do not need to register again.

City of Hope CME Database Registration Instructions

  1. Visit: https://cme.cityofhope.org/ and click on "Register" (top right corner) to create your account.
  2. Identify CME@coh.org as a safe sender in your inbox to ensure email delivery.
  3. Please have your cellphone available for account verification. If you are a participant based outside the United States or Canada, simply enter the first 10 digits of your phone number to bypass the mobile number requirement.
  4. US- and Canada-based participants, please text in the code provided to you during the activity to (626) 314-7448. For participants based outside the US and Canada, please send the provided code to CME@coh.org with the email you used to register.
    Please note the code must be sent in before the session is completed.


Accessing documentation of your CME credits

  1. Visit https://cme.cityofhope.org/
  2. Click on "Login" at the top of the page, then enter your username and password.
  3. Once logged in, visit the “My Activities” section of your account to pull your transcripts.

As a CCGCoP member, you have a number of opportunities to earn CME credit for your attendance and participation in regularly scheduled series. CME credit is awarded for attending weekly City of Hope GCRA Case Conferences and University of Chicago GCRA Case Conferences, or monthly Topics in Cancer Genetics Research/Journal Club (TICGR). More information and CME contact information for each series can be found below.

City of Hope GCRA Case Conference

also known as "Clinical Cancer Genomics Working Group" 

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

Objectives:

  • Identify tools, strategies, and resources used to establish differential diagnoses and risk assessment strategies for patients seen through the Cancer Screening & Prevention Program and affiliate community-based programs.
  • Recognize evidence-based guidelines and resources for developing personalized cancer risk management plans for patients.
  • Formulate and share questions and suggestions related to specific cases discussed during and/or after session with other participants and faculty.
  • Discuss possible barriers and biases which may impact patient care (i.e., race, ethnicity, language, gender identity/orientation, age, socioeconomic status, attitudes, feelings, or other characteristics).

Target Audience: The activity content is oriented to address the educational needs of attending physicians, physician assistants, genetic counselors, Master's or PhD in genetics or advanced practice nurses, geneticists, and all other allied healthcare professionals interested in this subject matter.

University of Chicago GCRA Case Conference

Accreditation Statement:

The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation:

The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

US Oncology US Oncology "GREAT" Genetics Case Conference

For Intensive Course participants only, attending US Oncology case conferences can be used to satisfy course requirements.

No CME credit will be awarded for attending USON Case Conferences outside of the Intensive Course.
